These curtains are good value for what you are paying. They do not black out as stated in item but this is not why I bought them. Bought them for thin faux silk dunelm (lined!) curtains at patio doors which let in a lot of cool air to living room. They have made a difference. Reasonably easy to install. Only fault I think is due to the hanging nature of these, they are not attached to the actual curtain so you can sometimes see the lining at the sides. May be solved with velcro or stitching. But pleased bought them. Service in Dumfries store was excellent, couldn't fault them.

Fab idea, but just not effective. Lining comes off hooks all the time, and still lets in drafts and light. Frustrating as I only bought them to improve Dunelm lined curtains which were just too thin. Disapointing, but better to buy some lining material and sow on yourself. Shame as excellent concept.

We have ordered both curtain linings with and without eyelets and the fitted these linings to a double-glazed bay window facing a gusty seafront and non-sea facing double-glazed windows.
Fitting:
Very simple. The eyelet linings come with both hooks and eyelets where the curtains without have no hooks (need to be purchased separately). The transparent plastic eyelets appear to be prone to breakage and look cheap alongside our curtain's eyelets.
Material Effectiveness:
The lining material has a reasonable thickness for the windy-cool winter nights (-3). I am certain a warmer and thicker material would be an improvement and help us further reduce our central heating fuel usage.
The material density is appropriate to block mild drafts if the area is "sealed" by the lining. Although we still have furniture blocking the lower area of the bay windows during winter.
Summary:
Useful for those in a less windy area. If you are like us, a thicker material or doubled-up lining may suffice.

Ordered items from internet and collected from local store. Good communications with no hassle in collection. Added bonus as when I opened the liners up there were hooks supplied which I didn't expect and wasn't mentioned in the write up when considering buying. Very pleased with purchase thank you...

I have moved to a house which has huge patio doors, so I needed to buy some eyelet thermal linings to keep the heat in the room. These arrived promptly and needed ironing but feel very nice & are quite simple to put up. They hang very well with the curtains, I'm really pleased with them and also they Do keep the cold out !

The material smells slightly weird and isn't very thick - I was a bit perplexed when I first got them out of the packet. Some people say that this kind of lining spoils the 'hang' of your curtains but I don't think that's a problem. The fairly dense material, with it's special secret coating may actually help keep the cold out this winter.
Service and delivery comments:
My product size was evidently not on the shelves when I was in the store, but was in stock online, but only if I collected it from the store...which is 10 miles away and there was no delivery option. But on the second trip, I got what I wanted.

Used to line bedroom curtains. The product is excellent but I preferred to sew it onto the curtains as this makes them easier to draw. Cannot fault the eyelets provided and they would also work well. They provide good insulation and black-out effect at the same time.

I was expecting the linings to have eyelets already in them, rather than having to attach eyelet rings in a specified pattern having first layed them out on top of the curtain I wanted to line. So not as easy to install as other pre-eyeleted linings. Other than that the quality and fit were good.

Good quality linings but disappointed as advertising does not make it clear that they are standard taped linings supplied with plastic rings which you have to fit between each eyelet of your curtains. Very awkward to install and I would not have purchased them if I had realized this

What an excellent product!! saves money and keeps the heat in!
once you understand how to put them on the back of your existing curtains they really do work. (you have to remember to miss an eyelet hole between each ring..)
they make your curtains much thicker and durable.
i have single glazed windows and these really do keep the cold out and heat in.
much cheaper than buying thick curtains.
the only bad thing is the plastic hooks keep falling out but thats easily resolved.

Delivery was faster than I expected! Very happy with my purchase of these thermal eyelet linings. After reading other reviews was worried it would be hard to install but viewing instructions provided, I figured it out. And while the lining was wider than some of my curtains, you can adjust it so it hangs well. Really easy to put on, good material and does the job. Washable and versatile in that I can change my curtains and keep the linings!

The only disappointment I have is that when I unwrapped them to air them before going up I noticed that at the hems on both linings there were dirty marks as if they had been trailed on a dirty floor.

clever product which fit perfectly with eyelet curtains, the clear rings are invisable when hung. i have used these to help "thicken up" a pair of thin curtains and they have done the job well, improving both the look and thermal efficency of my curtains.

Finding curtain linings for eyelet curtains is no easy task. Having found these online I ordered not really knowing how practical or easy to use they were. On arrival I wasn't disappointed. They were easy to fit, are descreet and provide excellent insulation at the patio doors. The fabric is quite heavy and stiff so I would recommend draping them over a warm radiator prior to fitting to help soften them up and make them easier to work with.
