Poor quality fittings

Like other reviews I cannot endorse this product. We have had this product for less than a month and used it twice. On the second time the plastic fittings broke bringing the blind down upon a 90 year old lady. [...] It is a shame since the blind would have met all our requirements.

Plastic fittings not strong enough

We installed the blind in our new kitchen extension. It looks good and is effective in reducing light and providing privacy. But the plastic fittings are inherently too weak for the pressure of pulling the cord, and so one of them has snapped. Not quite as quickly as the one reviewed by Annoyed of Warwickshire, but after a couple of months. When will manufacturers realise that cheap components (esp. plastic against metal) compromise the whole reputation of a product?

Disappointed - would not recommend

Nice looking blind hence why i purchased it. Unfortunately the fixings are made from flimsy plastic and the blind fell down the first time i used it. Would be ok if metal fixings were supplied with it as i was annoyed that it cost me more money to buy stronger metal ones to support the weight. Apart from that the material and design are good. Would only recommend if Dunelm changed the fixings to metal ones.

Looks reall good in redecorated kitchen but the cord to pull it up and down keeps coming off runners which makes operation difficult. Otherwise does what it says on the tin!

I bought the 48" roller blind, I measured my windows before, they were 48" exactly, I thought it would be a breeze, it wasn't.
You need half an inch either side for the fixings.
I had to cut the blind,poles etc.
They look good, but a lot of work, you do need the correct tools, hacksaw,drill, decent screwdrivers etc
So if your windows are exactly 48" you have work to do!

In my grand daughters bedroom to block the early morning sunlight. It certainly does the job in that respect. It was very difficult to install and equally difficult/noisy to use.

Fanastic value for money. We bought these to try and cut our heating bills and keep our kitchen warmer in the winter and they are working brilliantly. You can really feel the difference in the morning and they are really effective at cutting out the light. They were quick and easy to put up and certainly don't look cheap, I've even been asked where we bought them as our friends wanted some too.
The only slight downside is that they are a bit stiff to pull up but that I can easily put up with for the other huge benefits of these blinds.
