Ordered blind on-line - arrived within a few days. Really pleased with the quality of the material and general construction. Easy to hang requiring 3 brackets. Looks good when up - only criticism would be that the bottom of the blind hangs down too low - I tacked it up and it now looks much better letting in more light and looks neater. All in all really good value for money .

It's a nice blind and for the money it's reasonable quality BUT the blind came with no instructions at all, therefore took some working out, there were also some pulls in the fabric.

The winding mechanism appears to be ill positioned and therefore does not work smoothly and I have to pull the strings on the actual blind to get it to come back down properly.

Overall, it's ok - anything is better than the brown velour curtains that were here so everything is relative but not exactly over the moon with this blind.

Asked in store to see the blinds and was pleasantly surprised at the quality for the money, I ended up buying 12 different sizes to put in my conservatory. Little detail like the pulley was very good quality compared to others I've seen. Very pleased with the look it's given to the room

Product was fine when I eventually tracked on down at another store.

            Service and delivery comments:

Reserved this online to collect at the Trafford store. They had no record of it even though I had a confirmation e-mail and did not have the product. A sales assistant eventually found one and assured me it was ok although the packaging was obviously damaged. When I got it home the fittings were missing and the fabric was mouldy on the inside - clearly a customer return. I definitely won't be using this service or Trafford store again!

This is an update on my previous post regarding this blind. This blind looks good at the window when retracted, a bit flimsy but ok. The BIG problem is in use where it is hopeless. It has to be yanked down by hand, it does not drop when the strings are released. There are thin, plastic rods sticking out from both ends of the slots on the back (not good for inquisitive little fingers), the weight rod at the bottom bends and comes out. To retract the blind so it finishes looking anywhere near straight is a two person job. I will be taking it back today.

I have this blind in a bedroom and it looks briliant. It does shut out the light, but, if you have a streetlight outside your window the light would creep in through the stitching holes. Not a problem for me but thought I would mention it. It looks great and goes up and down easily. It is great value for money, Laura Ashley it isn't, but it's in a spare room and it does the job for a fraction of the price.

I have read lots of questions & answers re cutting the blinds - I understand the general thought is it could be risky to cut. I would like to know about the fabric - is it the same fabric (material stuck to the plastic blackout lining) as the roller blinds? I was looking at the various grey blackout roller blinds too (herringbone finish & linen finish) as an alternative, but if the fabric makeup is the same I'll take my chances & cut the roman blind! Please advise!!

Hi Victor, thanks for your question. In theory, yes Roman blinds can be trimmed to size, however, due to the nature of the blind and the way it functions and the mechanisms inside, extreme care must be taken. It is not normally advisable to alter Roman blinds because of this. Also please note, that once cut, the blind cannot be returned. Roller Blinds however can be reduced in width and length and full instructions on how to do so are included in the pack. Kind regards
