Types of Heading

There are several different options to consider when choosing your perfect ready made curtains, one of which is the curtains heading type. The curtain heading refers to the way in which the curtain is attached to the track or pole. Here at Dunelm Mill, we have three different options to choose from, each providing you with a different and individual finish to your room

Tape Top Curtains
The tape heading option is a band of fabric that is threaded with string and attached to the top inside edge of each curtain. Small hooks can then be looped through the tape heading and attached to the curtain pole or track. This curtain heading creates a traditional and classic look to your ready made curtains and will complement a family room perfectly.

Tab Top Curtains
Tab top curtains are comprised of a loop of fabric that is attached to the top of the curtain and hang directly off of the curtain pole. This tab top option is a simple but sophisticated heading choice for your ready made curtains and the perfect addition to any room. An important characteristic of this type of heading is that it can only be used with a curtain pole; this is due to the way that these curtains are hung. We have a large array of curtain poles available to match in with the style and decor of your home.

Eyelet Top curtains
Eyelet top curtains are characterised by their metal edged holes that run horizontally across the top of the fabric. This style of ready made curtain creates a soft, loose fold whilst also adding an extra touch of style to the overall look of your curtains. A ready made curtain with an eyelet top heading is the perfect addition to any contemporary room. The practical aspects of this product should not be underestimated; they are an extremely low maintenance product and can be washed and dried in the home.

Blackout Curtain Lining
Blackout curtain lining is the perfect choice for bedrooms, they block out unwanted light allowing you to get a good night’s sleep. Dunelm Mill blackout curtain lining is a very low maintenance product and is usually machine washable.
