Wayne Hukin, Assistant Manager Meeting new people is the best part of my job

It’s been a busy time. Thanks to the growth of the business, plenty of new stores have opened. I’m sure there are plenty more to come too.

There’s such a lot of potential in new stores. And in new team members too. It’s my role to ensure that this potential is fulfilled.

Listening well is a valuable skill. It’s key to managing people. When you know what drives others, it’s easier to inspire them. But putting that into practice takes great time management skills as well.

Meeting new people is the best part of my job. Everyone has something different to offer. But at the same time everyone seems to share the same positive attitude to achieve what we’re capable of.

People expect a lot from the company. There’s a constant drive to be the best in the retail sector. That’s why this is a great place to develop your skills.

When a job is well done, everyone feels a great sense of achievement. And I mean everyone, including the company directors. They don’t sit on the sidelines, but play a day-to-day role.
